Saga

Saga is our first Ridgeback. Courtney (Saga's human mommy) is allergic to dogs, Oh my! And for years she went to dog shows supporting me (Heather) and was the best supporter I ever had (or will have, I'm sure)! Courtney decided, "If I am going to tag along to all of these dog shows, I might as well have a dog of my own to bring along." She did her research and chanced into a lucky meeting with Nancy Brandewie ... they were just about to breed Sunni ... and Courtney got a show puppy from that litter ... Saga.

Saga has been VERY different from the Mastiffs ... but God Bless her, I think she believes she is one! She has so much energy and is oh so fast ... it definitely helps keep the Mastiffs in shape! Saga has begun coursing and already has her JC. She REALLY loves those bunnies!

At the 2006 National Specialty, in Salt Lake City, Utah, Courtney and Saga learned that they CAN do obedience together. Courtney and Saga got their AKC Canine Good Citizen and Saga's first leg in Rally ..... their very FIRST time out!!

In Tulsa, OK on November 4th, 2006, Courtney earned Saga's championship by going Best of Winners and Best of Opposite Sex, OWNER HANDLED, over three very nice special bitches! Congratulations to Courtney on acheiving this "dream" ON HER OWN! Now - its off to the coursing field & the Rally ring for them!!
